Thomas was born on 6th November 1779 and baptised, son of James Cave, on 21st November 1779 at St Thomas, Liverpool.

Marriage:
St Peter, Liverpool.

Thomas Cave, of the parish of Liverpool, labourer and Mary Glover, of the same parish, spinster, were married in this church, by Banns, on 27th November 1809.

Thomas does not seem to have survived until 1841 but his wife Mary is found staying with their son, James, and his children:

1851 census:
I'm not sure about Mary's whereabouts in 1851. Her son, James, and family are in Wavertree. (see the section below).
There is a Mary Cave, aged 55, and Ellen Cave, aged 23, staying with John Glover and family in Cronton. However, We are not convinced that this is Thomas Cave's widow. The age is wrong for a start.
There must be a familial connection between the Cronton Glovers and Caves and the Halewood/Wavertree families but we have yet to sort it out.

Thomas' widow, Mary, appears again in 1861:

3rd April 1865. The will of James Cave, late of Wavertree in the Parish of Childwall, in the County of Lancaster, wheelwright, deceased, who died on 16th December 1863, at Wavertree, aforesaid, was proved at Liverpool by the oath of Ellen Cave of High Street, Wavertree, the Relict, the sole Executrix. Effects under £300.

Ellen died 4 years later.
