Caroline Beech (1828 - ),

[born on 4th October 1828, baptised on 9th October 1828 at Witton cum Twambrooks. Married James Hitchmough (1822 - ) on 24th May 1846 at St Nicholas, Liverpool. Their Children: John (1847), Henry (1850), James (1852). ]

William Beech (1831 - ),

[birth calculated from the 1851 census. Married to Jane Webb on 13th August 1849 at Christchurch, Quinton, Worcestershire. Their children: Charles Benjamin (1850 - 1856), Robert (1851), Sarah Elizabeth (1853), William Henry (1855), Anne Eliza Matilda (1856), Esther (1859), Harry (1860), Hessey Jane (1862). William died in the 1860s and his widow, Jane, married Joseph Parkes in Harborne, Staffordshire, in 1870. She bore a child, Mary Jane Parkes in 1871.]

Peter Beech (1831 - 1865),

[baptised on 23rd January 1831 at Davenham. Married Jane Hinds (1840 - ) in Wirral in 1855. Their children: Caroline (1856), Elizabeth (1859), Sarah Ann (1861), John (1862), Jane (1864). Peter died in Birkenhead in 1865. His widow, Jane, married again to Robert Williams in St Nicholas, Liverpool, in 1866. They had 3 children: Mary Grace (1866), Ellen Lee (1868 - 1869), Robert (1870). ]

Charles' Death:

Charles Beech died on 26th January 1839 aged 70 and was buried at Witton on 31st January 1839 (From the burial register for Witton.) He was living in Castle (Northwich). (This had been mistranscribed as Chester on other records).
His wife, Mary, had died two years ealier, on 10th April 1837, at Wincham. She was buried in Witton on 16th April 1837, aged 69.

NB. Sarah's surname is recorded as either Thomson or Thompson on different documents.
Also, Sarah's mother's name is given on her baptism record and on her burial record in 1854 as Mary.
Whereas, on the baptism records of some of her children, Sarah's mother is named as Sarah.

We have not yet found a baptism for William but, according to the 1841 census, he was born about 1831. [He would be the only one of Peter's children not baptised. Was William baptised as Peter and known as William? - or a mistake in the register?

Peter's Death

There is a burial registered in the parish of Great Budworth on 14th May 1848, for a Peter Beech, aged 48, living in Anderton.

Meanwhile, young Sarah Beech, (as Sarah Beach), aged 25, was in service a short distance to the north, in Brunswick Vale, Kirkdale. She was a domestic servant in the home of Thomas Middleton, bookkeeper.
