My father, Thomas Edward Abbott was born on 27th January 1913 when the family lived at 11 Victoria Terrace.
His father, Richard is described on the birth certificate as a dock labourer.
His birth was registered on 7th March 1913.

The address given in the column "When and where born" on his birth certificate was 11 Victoria Terrace, Garston,
but in the column headed "Signature, description and residence of informant", it was written as 11 Victoria Terrace, Aigburth. I can find no other family connection with the Aigburth address, but Victoria Terrace in Island Road, Garston seems most likely. Indeed, in 1939, my Uncle Ron, Thomas Edward's brother, William Ronald, and his wife Letitia (Parry) were living at number 8 Island Road, directly opposite number 11 Victoria Terrace.
